A couple weeks ago marked the ninth anniversary of Leetown Advisors, and there is only one word to describe the emotion- gratitude. I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me with your life savings, and I am grateful to watch all of you move and grow through all of the phases of life. By taking control of your money, you are one step closer to “making life your beach” (that’s where the slogan came from).
I am proud to work with clients across the life spectrum, from early career to retirement. Over the years I have watched people achieve all sorts of milestones, including-
- Getting promoted
- Getting married (I am officiating a client wedding soon!)
- Having kids
- Welcoming grandkids
- Starting businesses
- Selling businesses
- Retiring!
It brings me great joy to see all of this, and I can’t wait to see where all of you go next. However, not everything has been rosy. Some of you went through-
- Divorce
- Loss of a loved one
- Lost your job
- Or just generally had a crappy year
Unfortunately, these things are also part of life. If you have been having a hard time, believe me when I say I have been thinking of you. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need to talk, because I am here to be your partner in both good times and bad. I just hope you have more of the former than the latter.
I’ve got about 30 years left in this business, and can’t wait to cheer you on throughout the whole process. I especially look forward to using one of my favorite phrases: “you can now afford to go into work tomorrow and flip off your boss”.
